	Illustration Biography
You know how everyone has a talent? Some excel in the physics of bridge building, others in matters of the human psyche. Well,
I'm good at writing. As in cursive. I found my passion
upon receipt of my first calligraphy set for my eleventh
birthday. My great-aunt Octavine, the family correspondent,
had beautiful penmanship and felt a strong need to pass this
onto me, her great-grandniece. Thus my saga beganAfter pursuing a
degree in history, I began to turn what had been small
favors for friends (invitations, fliers, marriage
certificates, their mothers' signatures) into a
business. I found that I could turn my love for all that is
vintage into art. And so began Octavine Illustration.

I believe that beauty should exist in the mundane. Care
should be taken to make each and every thing an objet
d'art. We are creatures dictated by the visual, affected
by what we see. That all should be lovely seems a given.
